To be in school at this time of year is a drag. The summer heat filled the sky. It didn’t bother Rose one bit. California is her home and she never wanted it to change. She remembered when Tina brought her in when she was age eight. Her lifestyle was different back then. She was abandoned by her mother at age five but never knew her father. For three years she had to survive off of scrapes of food and little water. She nearly felt her life had ended. But thanks to Tina she felt alive again. Tina’s house was like a sanctuary to Rose. Her life became perfect. Well almost perfect.

Prologue
As the day grew old I sit and think That’s what I thought but just this once I wanted a feeling of joy in life but nothing comes to mind. Life throws ideas and wild imaginations that is sought to be the greatest fantasies in any human child’s mind. Every child has the ability to think of the most extraordinary things an adult can’t think of. Children believe that the brightest images can come true. Well that’s when they’re wrong. Life doesn’t hand you a free pass to do whatever you want. No, life forces you to become something that you don’t want.
